How to Use A Coffee Scoop.

Are you a Scooper?

Whether you prefer decorative silver coffee spoons or functional plastic coffee spoons the facts are clear; using a scoop helps provide better consistency in each brew by providing a measurable amount of coffee each time we dip into the bag.

I'll admit it, I used to be a dumper and then after that I used a regular spoon to get my coffee into the filter.

I wasn't able to make two brews that were consistent with one another and I eventually grew tired of it and started using coffee scoops to measure my coffee.

A great tip when using a coffee scoop is to always shoot for 1 tablespoon per cup of coffee being brewed. This will get you a pretty standard strength in your coffee, but if you want to bump it up or lower it then adjust accordingly.

I've Tried Many Now.

I've used many different coffee scoops now from plastic coffee scoops, wood coffee scoops, and metal coffee scoops. I have found that I prefer metal coffee scoops, in particular I really enjoy the look of stainless steel and the weight behind them, or I'm very fond of a copper scoop with a wooden handle.

There's simply something so vintage to me about using a copper scoop, and I really find the color of copper appealing in my kitchen.

I also really enjoy gold or rose cold colored coffee scoops

Another favorite is a stainless-steel coffee scoop measure so that I can measure different amounts depending on how strong I want my coffee, and they clean super easy and don't stain.

Wooden coffee scoops are also favored in my kitchen, because I like how they hold on to a little of the coffee's aroma before a wash, providing a literal sense of the flavor soon to be brewing before you get to into the rich coffee flavor.

Great Brand Names to Try.

If you're looking for some of the top brands for coffee lovers I would look for a Cuisinart coffee scoop or a cuisipro coffee scoop. Both companies offer a wide variety of different coffee scoops ranging from a cheap and functional to expensive and beautiful, so top wasting time and coffee by dumping or using a spoon that was never intended to scoop coffee and buy a dedicated coffee scoop today. You won't regret it!
