Explaining Coffee Joulies.

Explaining Coffee Joulies.

I Never Knew These Existed...

And I am impressed.

Anyone who's ever been a coffee drinker on the regular, whether it's multiple cups a day or one per week we all know that balancing the right temperature can be a constant battle and there exists a plethora of inventions that have been created to help solve this problem, some of them quite well.

As an avid coffee drinker and lover and even more so a person who wants to help bring a greater variety of coffee knowledge to my fellow coffians I feel it is my calling to always be on the lookout for the latest coffee tech, flavors, and news for you and I.

Allow me now to introduce something previously completely unknown to me. The Coffee Joulies.

What's So Important About Joulies Anyways?

At first glance and looking into them I just thought they were designed to cool your coffee off, so I though to myself "Oh like a reusable ice cube basically? That's cool but big deal." Reusable ice cubes already exist after all.

But no...

These babies are temperature regulators.

Incased in steel, the material inside is designed to cool your coffee off to 140 degrees by turning into liquid (It stays fully inside the steel capsule.) then solidifies again once it reaches that 140 degree point, keeping your coffee at that perfect temperature for much, much longer.

This makes them SUPER cool and hot!

They are completely reusable and you can be satisfied knowing they are safe for food services since they are made from the same stainless steel that good dinnerware is made from.

Also, another very interesting and even a bit of an odd fact, the material inside is food based and non-toxic, so just in case one gets damaged and leaks you won't be pushing up daisies from it.

How that technology works is a wonder I'm curious to discover the deep scientific secrets behind.... if that information is freely found, but I have a feeling what's inside might be proprietary.

Another fun fact for those of us who enjoy green technology is that I have confirmed from multiple sources these are made from recycled steel (For the most part.) and are created in a factory using hydroelectric power. A cool thing to know.

Oh also the stainless steel case is shaped like a coffee bean and I think that's super cute, creative, and classy.

Either way, I was totally convinced and decided to buy some of these, which I should have by the end of this week.

I'm super excited to try them out for the first time, and you can grab a set of five for fifty bucks, a fair price in my opinion for something that keeps my coffee temperature regulated if it works how it's advertised. I'll let you know soon enough!

Happy sipping my fellow coffee lovers!
